06 questionsWhat does 22 momme mean?
Momme is how silk is weighed. One momme is 4.34 grams per square metre, so 22 momme is about 95 g/m².
When each production lot arrives, we cut four 100 cm² pieces from its fabric, hold them at 65% humidity for a day, weigh them on a 0.001 g scale and post the result here, pass or fail. The first lot also goes to an independent textile lab.
What sizes and colors does the pillowcase come in?
Queen and King. Queen is 51 × 76 cm. King is 51 × 91 cm.
Three colors in the first batch, named for what they are: Ivory, Silver and Pink. The site shows Ivory only until we have images of Silver and Pink.
Why a zip and not an envelope closure?
A hidden zip closes the case around the pillow, so it stays covered through the night. An envelope closure is a fold of fabric, and a pillow can work its way out of it as you turn.
The zip is also the one hard part in a case that goes through the wash, and a light one is a weak point there.
Does the eye mask work if I sleep on my side?
It is designed for that: a soft sewn contour, thin at the sides, so your cheek can rest on the pillow. The strap adjusts with a slider at the back of the head, under its fabric cover. Design target; no sample yet.
The weight sits in a pouch on your brow and cheekbones, with none over the eyes, and you can take it out. The exact weight is not set yet; we will decide it once we have a sample.
What is in the Sleep Set?
The Silk Pillowcase and The Weighted Eye Mask in one order for $110, $16 less than buying them apart ($68 + $58). You choose the pillowcase colorway and size.
Where is it made?
The silk pillowcase is made in China from 100% mulberry silk. US law asks textile listings to say where they were made, so the country is on every product page.

03 questionsHow do I wash the pillowcase?
Close the zip and use the mesh bag. Wash cold or lukewarm, up to 30 C (86 F), on a delicate cycle or by hand, with a delicate, enzyme-free detergent. No bleach, no softener. Dry flat or hang, out of direct sun. No dryer, no iron.
Can it go in the dryer?
No. When the wash ends, take it out of the mesh bag and dry it flat or hang it, out of direct sun. No iron either.
How do I clean the eye mask?
We will wash a sample before we print a care line.

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, unused and in the original packaging. The returns policy has the full terms and is the one to trust if this summary and it ever disagree.

Not yet. The shop is not open. Leave your email on the launch list and we will write once, when it opens.
How is payment handled?
Checkout runs on Shopify, so your card details go to Shopify's checkout and never touch this site. Sales tax is calculated there, by state.
How do I track an order?
Once orders open, a Track an order page will take your order number and email and hand you to the order's status. Until then there is nothing to track.
